Kedartal trek starts from Gangotri, the source of the Ganges and one of the char dhams of Uttarakhand. Kedartal- Lord Shiva’s lake, is situated in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarkhand at an altitude of 4900metres. It is the source of Kedar Ganga river, that is flowing beside the trail to Kedartal. The trek is a beautiful journey from Gangotri Dham, rocky trail beside the river, through the pine forest and high altitude meadows with the view of majestic Himalayan peaks such as Mt Thalaysagar, Mt Bhrigupanth, Manda Parvat, Mt Jogin, Mt Gangotri. These peaks can be seen very close and rising from the base to top. The reflection of these peaks can also be seen in the Kedartal.

It is moderate to difficult level trek with rocky terrain and steep climb. Sometimes you have to climb the spider wall in the trails. As you climb higher the temperature gets colder and the view gets better and better.
